Austria and Romania join the ELIXIR-STEERS project

Exciting news for bioinformatics in Romania! 

We are proud to announce that CRB has become a partner in the ELIXIR STEERS project, part of the Horizon Europe program, which aims to develop research infrastructure in the life sciences across Europe, focusing on best practices in bioinformatics software applications. 

This collaboration represents a significant recognition from our European partners, and we are extremely optimistic about CRB's potential to contribute to strengthening bioinformatics in Romania.

As a federated entity, CRB has all the necessary mechanisms to promote the adoption of software management systems in bioinformatics and, more generally, the principles of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). We aim to enhance and optimize bioinformatics analyses through these initiatives.

This is a step forward in the right direction for local bioinformatics, and we are eager to make valuable contributions to the European research ecosystem!
